Bombardier, Collins Aerospace celebrate 25 successful Advanced Avionics Upgrades (AAU) for Global aircraft

Bombardier and Collins Aerospace are excited to announce a major milestone: 25 successful and smooth installations of the Advanced Avionics Upgrade (AAU) for in-service Global aircraft equipped with the Vision flight deck.  

Introduced in August 2023, the AAU is powered by Collins Aerospace. It employs the latest avionics software and hardware to enhance safety, performance and situational awareness in Bombardier Global 5000, Global 6000, Global 5500 and Global 6500 aircraft.  

The AAU takes aircraft equipped with the Bombardier Vision flight deck to the next level with the addition of the revolutionary Combined Vision System (CVS), which merges synthetic and enhanced vision systems in a single view to facilitate navigation in even the toughest weather. Customers can also choose from a list of optional enhancements, such as Airport Moving Map/SVS Taxi mode. 

The AAU for in-service Global aircraft can be installed at any Bombardier service centre.
