Bombardier elevates the customer experience with exciting NBAA-BACE announcements

In mid-October, the Bombardier team travelled to Las Vegas, NV, for business aviation’s signature event: the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).

At the show, Bombardier displayed its impressive lineup of Challenger and Global aircraft, as well as a pristine Challenger 300 from its Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program.

The team also celebrated several key announcements in Las Vegas:

  • Bombardier’s exciting EcoJet research project has successfully transitioned to its second flight test phase with an 18-foot-wide Blended Wing Body demonstrator aircraft. The leading-edge program aims to reduce future aircraft emissions by up to 50 per cent.

  • Bombardier customers flying select in-service Global aircraft will soon be eligible for a Gogo 5G connectivity upgrade, with Challengers to come by year’s end! Find out how you can enjoy enhanced bandwidth and lightning-fast streaming!

  • At NBAA-BACE, Bombardier celebrated the delivery of the 150th Global 7500, the flagship of the next generation of business aviation. Along with this milestone comes a progressive evolution in customer experience as the maturing program continues to reach new heights.

  • At the show, Bombardier announced an exciting deal with charter operator AB Jets of Memphis, TN. The company is adding three Challenger 3500 aircraft to its fleet, with an option for a fourth by the end of 2023.

  • Twenty-five adult maintenance students from the Bombardier Academy competed at the inaugural NBAA-BACE aircraft technician competition. A collaboration between Bombardier and Capt. Barrington Irving, Bombardier Academy aims to develop the next generation of aircraft technicians to fuel the company’s U.S. talent pipeline.

  • Bombardier’s Thomas Fissellier, Director, Pre-owned Acquisition and Sales Support, moderated an informative panel presentation on Certified Pre-Owned aircraft programs and how they address modern owners’ concerns about sustainability, safety, values and comfort. Attendees heard how technological upgrades protect an aircraft’s residual value and combat early obsolescence. Bombardier’s industry-leading Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program has created a premium category of previously-owned Bombardier business jets, including the Challenger 300 that was proudly displayed at NBAA-BACE.

  • Predictive maintenance was the topic of an NBAA-BACE panel presentation that included Bombardier’s Elza Brunelle-Yeung, who spoke about artificial intelligence applications in aerospace and how Bombardier harnessed the power of data to create its Smart Link Plus connected aircraft system.

“We were proud to showcase our strong and diversified portfolio at NBAA-BACE and the progress we are making to grow our second-to-none business jet fleet and services today, all while being prepared for tomorrow through industry-leading innovation and research,” said Bombardier President and CEO Éric Martel.
