Bombardier releases Environmental Product Declarations for Global 5500 and Global 6500 aircraft

As further proof of its commitment to sustainability, Bombardier has released two more Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its long-range Global 5500 and Global 6500 business jets.

An EPD provides third-party verified transparency when it comes to the environmental impact of a product over its lifecycle.

The Global 5500 and Global 6500 join Bombardier’s Global 7500 and Challenger 3500 as the only EPD-designated jets in business aviation.

Bombardier’s Product Sustainability and Strategy team analyzed the environmental impact of 140,000 aircraft parts, per program, to create transparent EPD reports that help buyers understand the big picture when it comes to their aircraft and the environment.

Designed with sustainability in mind, Bombardier’s Global 5500 and Global 6500 business jets deliver up to 13 per cent better fuel efficiency than their predecessors and feature redesigned transonic wings and purpose-built Rolls-Royce Pearl engines.

Bombardier also offers a selection of attractive, durable and sustainable cabin material options for all aircraft models.
