Bombardier Safety Standdown 2022: Registration is now open!
Registration for Bombardier’s industry-defining safety conference, Safety Standdown, is now open and you can now take part!
This year’s 26th annual event in Wichita, Kansas, is set for Nov. 8-10 and will feature informative general sessions and workshop presentations built around this year’s theme – “Moving Safety Forward.”
For the past 25 years, aviation professionals have been talking about the concept of “doing our jobs better” – cultivating an attitude that refuses to settle for the status quo when it comes to safety. With the goal of “Moving Safety Forward,” aviation professionals have a unique opportunity to establish safety as the top priority at our organizations and influence change – while continuing to ask the question, “Are we doing enough?”
With “Moving Safety Forward,” key industry experts will focus on how we ensure the safety needle continues to move throughout all aspects of the aviation industry. Some key presentations at this year’s event include:
Runway Excursion Prevention, Dan Boedigheimer, Ph. D, Advanced Aircrew Academy
What’s the Risk? Assessing Safety in The Hangar, Timothy Wade, NBAA Safety Committee
The Stagnant Elephant in the Hangar, Marty Grier, The Home Depot & Leonard A. Beauchemin, AeroTechna Solutions LLC
Crafting a Culture of Compliance, Jermaine Cadogan, Convergent Performance
Nominations are now open for the annual Safety Standdown Award. This prestigious annual award honours an aviation professional who has demonstrated exemplary dedication to improving aviation safety through the application of the Safety Standdown principle: LEARN – APPLY – SHARE. By learning new skills and applying them, they demonstrate their dedication to personal improvement. By sharing their knowledge, they become distinguished role models. We are currently accepting nominations for 2022.
