Bombardier’s Safety Standdown program under new stewardship

Bombardier’s industry-defining Safety Standdown program has a new leader. Seasoned Bombardier executive Chris Milligan, Vice President, Pre-owned Aircraft Services and Flight Operations, has taken over the reins from Andy Nureddin, Safety Standdown’s long-time leader. Andy has been a passionate steward of the event for more than 15 years, but will be retiring at the end of 2022.

Under Andy’s avid leadership, Safety Standdown has grown into one of the industry’s most comprehensive and “must-attend” safety events, bringing attendees together from a broad cross-section of aviation organizations and disciplines. Since its inception in 1996, more than 10,000 aviation professionals have been trained in its many aviation safety seminars and professional development sessions, providing invaluable life-long learning opportunities.

More than 200 aviation professionals from a number of disciplines attended this year’s three-day in-person event, with more than 1000 attendees from 20 countries joining online.
