Celebrating 25 years of safety stewardship
Last week marked a milestone moment for Bombardier as we celebrated the 25th anniversary of our industry-defining Safety Standdown program.
Approximately 200 attendees joined us in Wichita, KS for this year’s event, with several hundred others from around the world connecting virtually to a live webcast. It was wonderful to see so many passionate professionals across a variety of aviation disciplines uniting on a common goal.
Safety Standdown is a labour of love for our team and for good reason. Conceived more than two decades ago by a small group of Bombardier demonstration pilots, it has has grown to become one of the most comprehensive human factors safety conferences in the industry. The program challenges aviation professionals to elevate their personnel safety paradigms and to share best practices to make our industry safer at all levels.
This year, we shared some very special news and I encourage you to read on for more details. I also encourage you to live by the program’s motto of “Learn, Apply, Share.” It’s a timeless message that sets the stage for new safety strategies and concepts for years to come.
I’d like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to all who participated in this year’s successful event! I look forward to seeing you again next year.
Sincerely,
Jean-Christophe Gallagher
