Introducing vQAR: bringing the benefits of an extra connected aircraft to you

In collaboration with GE, Bombardier is introducing a new add-on service feature to its Smart Link Plus offering called virtual Quick Access Recorder (vQAR). This dynamic new service – a technology that is the first of its type in business aviation – automates the extraction and secured transfer of crucial flight data, saving pilots time and energy.

The service is currently available to Global 7500 customers as an option on their GE C-FOQA subscription.

Currently, flight performance data management is a manual task involving dispatching a technician to the aircraft to extract and then transfer data over an unsecured network. The advantage of the vQAR functionality is that it takes care of the flight performance data management automatically with the added benefit of doing so behind encoded and encrypted infrastructure, offering customers an exceptional value and a secure environment for their data.

The vQAR service feature will soon be available on other Bombardier models where the Smart Link Plus Aircraft Health Management System is already installed.
