Showcasing the Wichita Service Centre

Bombardier’s dynamic Wichita Service Centre took centre stage in early January during an in-depth interview with Wichita’s KWCH television station.

KWCH news anchor Lily Lu interviewed Bombardier’s Chris Debergh, Vice President and General Manager of OEM Parts and Services at the site’s Wheel and Tire shop to shed some light on the facility’s unique maintenance and overhaul capabilities.

Wichita's dedicated engineering team is equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as interior modifications, avionics installations and provide Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support for Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft.

And as Debergh explained, the team can provide customers with MRO services that are unique to the Bombardier service footprint. The centre is also growing – adding some 400 to 500 more engineers over the next four to five years.

“Many of our customers say, ‘I want to go to Wichita (when servicing their aircraft).’ They have a capability here that is unique – they can overhaul the landing gear, they can do everything,” Debergh said.

The Wichita facility is in full expansion mode, offering customers new hangars, expanded paint service, parts and storage enhancements, and new engine maintenance and CRO capabilities.
