Smart Link Plus Exchange Forum shares 2024 highlights and future direction
Bombardier’s Smart Link Plus Exchange Forum is an online customer resource for sharing important information within the Smart Link Plus community.
On Dec. 5, 2024, Smart Link Plus Customer Engagement Representatives George Tsopeis and John Laggis hosted a year-end program review, which was Episode 3 in the Exchange Forum’s ongoing webinar series.
They revealed that total Smart Link Plus enrollment now includes 350 customer aircraft, representing 95 percent of Global 7500 customers and 85 percent of Challenger 3500 customers. The system is a repository of more than 270 terabytes of Bombardier fleet data, making it an invaluable reference tool during maintenance troubleshooting.
In fact, Smart Link Plus data and the myMaintenance app have helped Bombardier reach a significant milestone in 2024: a 90 percent first-time resolution rate for customers who reached out to the Bombardier Customer Response Centre for assistance!
Also in 2024, aircraft valuator VREF publicly announced that an aircraft enrolled in Smart Link Plus would see its overall value increase by as much as five percent.
In November, Smart Link Plus hardware was certified for the Bombardier Global 5500 and Global 6500 aircraft. Smart Link Plus service will be activation-ready for these aircraft in Q2 2025.
Looking ahead to 2025, Bombardier will continue hosting M&O events with breakout sessions dedicated to Smart Link Plus. Predictive maintenance is the future of the Smart Link Plus offering, and customers are already helping to test our first condition monitoring capabilities. In 2025, we will continue to explore solutions to help customers achieve near zero unplanned maintenance.
