Sustainable Aviation Fuel available for World Economic Forum Annual Meeting

Following a COVID-triggered cancellation for 2021, the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting is set to reconvene January 17-21, 2022 in Davos, Switzerland. For corporate and government leaders planning to attend, WEF wants to ensure that all potential attendees are aware that Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) will be available for the flights to and from the event.

Following the recent COP 26 Conference in Glasgow and a global trend by countries to achieve carbon net zero objectives by 2050, the implementation of SAF and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions will be front and centre in WEF discussions, as has been the case at events throughout the business aviation industry. It's indeed a critical issue, and the WEF, as well as other prominent business aviation associations, organizations and companies are committed to ensuring they support this important climate-saving solution at all costs. Bombardier is a leading advocate in the development, implementation and distribution of SAF, and is a strong supporter of this important initiative.

For flights to the WEF Forum, operators will be able to purchase SAF using a “Book and Claim” process where they help grow the market by creating demand for the fuel; they also receive environmental benefits for doing so. And SAF fuel produced by Neste in Finland will also be available for all return flights from Zurich International Airport – the closest airport to Davos. For more information, please contact the WEF here.
