Synthetic vision upgrade improves Learjet 40/45 situational awareness
Enjoy heightened situational awareness in living colour with this Honeywell Primus Elite upgrade for the Learjet 40/45.
U.S. operators of Learjet 40/45 aircraft can now replace original Honeywell DU-875 cathode ray tube (CRT) cockpit displays with modern liquid crystal display (LCD) screens when they upgrade to the Primus Elite Advanced Features (PEAF) package, including synthetic vision system (SVS).
Honeywell’s SVS enhances safety by improving situational awareness during flight. The aircraft’s flight path is depicted as a comprehensive overlay on the primary flight display, while that display retains all existing flight information and symbology for ease of use.
Pilots will appreciate the crisp, 3D colour images and higher resolution picture – no more blue-over-brown displays! In addition, the new units run cooler than their predecessors, reducing heat in the cockpit.
For owners and operators, the many benefits include a lower cost of operation, significantly reduced weight, and quick “plug and play” one-day installation.
