Two Pro Line Fusion installations now underway
Bombardier is pleased to announce that it currently has two Pro Line Fusion upgrades happening simultaneously, one at its Dallas Service Centre and the other at the Hartford Service Centre.
The Pro Line Fusion avionics modification is an FAA-certified upgrade for the Challenger 604 aircraft. It is designed to meet current and future airspace mandates, address obsolescence and enhance the overall cockpit experience by providing the latest in avionics functionality. Installed by experts who know your aircraft best, the upgrade offers a modernized flight experience with data link capability, high-definition image displays and touch screen interface – all in a cost-effective package.
Customers whose aircraft already underwent the Fusion modifications note that the upgrade is one of the best investments they have made for their Challenger 604 aircraft: “The Pro Line Fusion avionics upgrade has brought the Challenger 604 up to modern avionics standards, which is software upgradeable, saving time and money. Working with the Bombardier Hartford team made the installation process seamless and an absolute pleasure,” said Jeff Barnes, pilot and director of maintenance of an upgraded aircraft.
The Pro Line Fusion upgrade is also key to unlock an aircraft’s operational capabilities. “The Radar is the best of the best. I feel totally confident navigating through bad weather with laser sharp precision graphical layers,” noted Esteban Lopez, lead captain of another upgraded aircraft. “There is nothing more intuitive than the Fusion cockpit. You just think what you want and reach with your fingers; it’s just like a smartphone, no more cursors or a mouse. It’s truly a system designed by the modern pilot for the modern lifestyle. Installing the Fusion system at the Bombardier Service Centre in Dallas was a very pleasurable experience.”
Both customers receiving the Pro Line Fusion upgrade will have their projects completed by the end of the year.
