ATA 31-61

Honeywell Primus DU-870 display unit support is progressively phasing out as detailed in AW700-31-0527 Rev.03 or later.

Operators should be familiar with the different alternatives for the support of the DU-870 Display Unit, including the upgrade options to the DU-875 for enhance long term support.

For the DU-870, if the operator’s unit has failed, as a special consideration, since we are not supporting the repair transactions through Component Repair and Overhaul (CRO) as detailed in the Advisory Wire, the operator can send their DU-870 unit for repair to a third party and submit their claim to the Smart Parts team for coverage consideration.

If the failure is deemed No Fault Found (NFF), the Smart Parts team reserves the right to deny coverage.

If the only stock available at Bombardier is a DU-875, Smart Parts will cover this expense. Please note, that per Smart Services terms and conditions, Bombardier at its discretion, shall have the right to discontinue the support of any component whose configuration has been superseded by a later configuration.

The customer shall, at its own cost or expense, ensure component compatibility when it is not provided for by Bombardier alert service bulletin or Bombardier recommended service bulletin coverage under this agreement.
