Bombardier’s ongoing efforts to improve the reliability of the Brushless DC motor pump have resulted in the introduction of the Brushless DC motor, part number 945202-4.

The 945202-4 motor incorporates an added capacitor, which adjusts the time delay of the motor controller voltage ripple monitor. This improvement will help address the motor latching issue that prevents the motor from re-engaging when commanded.

The 945202-4 motor will be introduced by attrition for in-service aircraft. Details about the 945202-4 motor can be found in the Challenger 300 series Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalogs, available in the Technical Publications section of the Bombardier Customer Portal.

Bombardier continues to improve the reliability of the Brushless DC motor. Progress will be reported through the Challenger 300 series advisory committee meetings.
