Main landing gear upper actuator pins

Effectivity: Learjet 40, Learjet 70, and Learjet 75 aircraft

ATA: 32

Bombardier would like to remind operators of the Alert Service Bulletins, released in October, regarding inspection of 200-0325-101 upper side stay actuator pins.

These SB are part of an ongoing investigation, therefore the return of the removed pins to Bombardier is important. As such, Alert Service Bulletins 40-32-23, 45-32-41, 70-32-08, and 75-32-08 were released on October 5, 2021 to inspect for specific pin serial numbers, listed in the document. Time of compliance of these Service Bulletins is twenty-five (25) hours or three (3) months from time of release, giving a calendar date of Jan. 5, 2022 for compliance. Replacement pins are provided free of charge by ISIT once certain aircraft information is provided. The Service Bulletin provides core return information for affected pins to be returned to Chicago and/or Frankfort depots.

To ensure pin cost is not invoiced and SB labor is approved, the required information must be provided and the pins must be received at one of the depots. To date, only 80 of the 230 impacted serial numbers have been received by Bombardier.

Incorporation of the Alert Service Bulletin(s) prior to January 5, 2022 and all instructions followed regarding aircraft/pin information and shipment of removed pins will ensure proper aircraft configuration as well as eliminating unexpected costs.
