Bombardier would like to inform operators that there is a procedure error for the Global 7500 Aircraft Maintenance Publication (AMP) task BD700-A-J27-62-00-00AAA-340A-A for the Multi-Function Spoiler – Functional Test (stop-to-stop check).

This unscheduled maintenance task is performed to validate the full travel of the multi-function spoiler, from one mechanical stop to the other. This ensures there is no binding and no contact with the flight controls with the surrounding structures.

The use of the force gauge GSE to perform this check is incorrectly described in the current AMP (Issue No. 040) task. Technical publications are correcting these steps and the AMP will be updated in a future revision.

Until the AMP is revised, technicians should refer to the RIL GX-0737 available on the Bombardier portal.

RIL GX-0737 describes how to use the force gauge GSE to push the multi-function spoiler panel to a fully extended position, ensuring a positive contact with the deployed stops.
