Tea time: galley kettle removal for Global aircraft

Effectivity: Global 7500 series aircraft

ATA: 25

Bombardier would like to remind operators that the galley kettle consists of two parts: the carafe and the kettle base. These two components form a complete unit and must be shipped together when returning the unit for repair.

Bombardier asks that operators carefully follow the removal process for the kettle (BD700-A-J25-33-09-01AAA-520A-A). When returning the unit, please ensure the entire kettle assembly kit (G02530008-001-016X), which includes both the carafe and the base, are sent back.

In some instances, only the carafe has been returned for repair. Both the carafe and the base are required for proper troubleshooting, as communication between these components is part of the process.

Bombardier documents the serial number found on the base assembly, not the one on the bottom of the carafe. The carafe serial number, located underneath, is for Safran purposes only.

Finally, a friendly reminder to protect the kettle surface to ensure that no damage is incurred during transit to the Safran repair station.
