Bombardier would like maintenance directors, technicians, service centres and flight crews to be informed that operators with wood flooring installed in their aircraft report having incurred some scratches (Fig. 1) on their floors.

Wood flooring has been developed as an aesthetic design option resembling that of the residential market, with use and maintenance characteristics being similar. Precautions should be taken to avoid sharp impacts (Fig. 2), such as high heels and heavy luggage wheels. Deep-rooted scratches can also be produced by sliding heavy objects on the surface.

Stone Floor

For maintenance of the wood flooring, please refer to the F/LIST Wood Flooring Cleaning & Repair Manual, 25-26-ND_QM001244. If you do not have a copy of QM001244, it is available in the Green Aircraft Manuals, in the CMM section, ATA 25.

In addition, the F/LIST Ceramic Flooring & Natural Stone Surfaces Cleaning & Repair Manual 25-26-ND_QM001234 has also been added.

Should you require more information on the above material and processes, please contact your Bombardier Field Service Representative (FSR) or the Customer Response Centre (CRC) team 24/7 +1-866-538-1247 (toll free in North America) or +1-514-855-2999 (International).
