Bombardier to offer Gogo 5G connectivity upgrade for select Global aircraft

Bombardier customers who install new MB-13 antennas on their Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000, Global 5500, Global 6000 and Global 6500 aircraft will soon be able to access lightning-fast internet connectivity through Gogo’s 5G Broadband System.

Designed specifically for business aviation, Gogo’s 5G network – coming to market mid next year – will be available throughout the continental United States with planned expansion into Canada. Customers will enjoy an elevated in-cabin experience with enhanced bandwidth and faster streaming capability, so they can stay connected to everything that matters while they are in the air.

Bombardier is pleased to announce that new customers, or those with existing Gogo 4G connectivity, can now provisionally install Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) parts – which include the new MB-13 antennas. This work can be done under STC at all Bombardier Service Centres worldwide.

“At Bombardier, we’re always striving to provide the best in-cabin experience for our customers. With Gogo’s 5G network, passengers will enjoy the ultimate ‘in-home’ or ‘in-office’ experience,” said Paul Sislian, Vice President, Aftermarket Services and Strategy, Bombardier.

Provisional installations on Challenger series aircraft are expected to begin in early 2024.
