Bombardier welcomes new Safety Standdown Advisory Council members

Exciting plans are coming together for Bombardier’s 29th annual Safety Standdown, to be held this November in Wichita, Kansas. Known as the can’t-miss annual event dedicated to growing safety and professionalism in the aviation industry, Safety Standdown could never happen without the dedication of its volunteer-driven Safety Standdown Advisory Council.

Under the leadership of this year’s Advisory Council Chair, Christopher Sweeney, the group is working to enhance Safety Standdown’s reputation for delivering premium safety-related educational content at no charge to attendees.

This year, the Advisory Council warmly welcomes four new members: Michael Cataldo, Robert Patton, Timothy Wade and Noah Yarborough.

Michael Cataldo is the Senior Manager of Aircraft Maintenance for the Flight Operations division of Cox Enterprises, Inc. With 25 years in the industry, he oversees maintenance, infrastructure and a multi-million-dollar budget, while ensuring top-tier customer service. A lifelong learner, his commitment to safety, innovation and professional development continues to shape his career.

Robert Patton is Co-founder and Chief Content Creator of Highbrow Safety Werks, combining his aviation expertise with a background in stand-up comedy to enhance safety awareness and engagement. He is an author who has held key roles across Part 91, 121 and 125 operations, including Chief Pilot, Safety Officer and Training & Standards Manager at Stratus Management.

Timothy Wade’s 18-year career in aviation began with the U.S. Army, serving in South Korea and Afghanistan on Apache helicopters. In 2013, he transitioned into health and safety; three years later, he became the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager for Constant Aviation and Nextant Aerospace. Following a merger, he now serves as Flexjet’s Director of EHS, overseeing safety for ground and maintenance operations. He was honoured as an NBAA Top 40 Under 40 in 2021.

Noah Yarborough is Regional Vice President of North America for Signum Aviation International Trip Support. His career began in airport operations before he moved to progressive positions at Jeppesen and the NBAA, eventually landing in his current role. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of aviation professionals, serving on the NBAA Young Professional Council.
