Bombardier’s Smart Link Plus will change the future of customer support
*This is part of a series of articles highlighting how Bombardier is raising its customer service game
With retrofit approvals now in place for Bombardier’s Smart Link Plus, operators of most in-service Challenger and Global aircraft have been cleared to install the Bombardier’s advanced aircraft health monitoring system (AHMS) on their aircraft.
Smart Link Plus is indeed a gamechanger, as it provides operators with a host of in-flight and ground-based features that deliver a truly connected aircraft. Bombardier customers will now enjoy the benefits of real-time aircraft performance monitoring, remote troubleshooting capability, and live OEM data and support. In addition, Smart Link Plus eliminates the need for a separate quick access recorder (QAR) and is an essential tool for maximizing the performance of your Challenger or Global aircraft.
With the Smart Link Plus system installed on your aircraft, you can be constantly connected to Bombardier’s Customer Service Team, which receives automated real-time notifications of critical aircraft events. These include takeoff and landing advisories, in-flight fault notifications, and all related data. In addition, with the customer’s permission, engine trends and exceedance notifications can be sent automatically to the engine OEM in accordance with their coverage programs.
Even when your aircraft is not flying, you can access Bombardier’s myMaintenance portal to review ground sessions or access previous flight analyses, crew alerting system (CAS) messages, and notifications from the respective onboard maintenance computers (the MDC on Challengers and the OMS on Global aircraft).
Smart Link Plus harnesses the power of your aircraft’s data to increase flight safety through higher levels of operational oversight. It’s just one more way Bombardier is striving to offer the best customer experience in business aviation.
