Challenger 300 windows get stylish makeover

The original window shades on the Challenger 300 aircraft fleet, up to aircraft serial number 20147*, are becoming obsolete. Bombardier has developed Service Bulletin (SB) 100-25-44 to replace the original shades, which were made by Precision Pattern Inc. (PPI). 

This SB introduces a new window shade box, beauty ring and reveal supplied by FACC. 

The upgrade instantly adds a contemporary look similar to the Challenger 350 aircraft fleet. The window shade itself is contained between two clear plastic panes, which protect it from damage. The shade is raised and lowered using a sideways sliding mechanism at the bottom of the window.
