Focusing on strategic growth
Now that I’m settling into my new role as Bombardier’s Executive Vice President, Aftermarket Services & Corporate Strategy, I am truly energized by the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to grow and develop our business.
What does this mean for you, our valued customer?
Our growth strategy focuses on three key elements: product leadership, growing our defense business, and services.
Bombardier cemented its industry-leading position in May 2022, when it launched its new flagship aircraft, the Global 8000. Building on the many successes of the Global 7500, this new aircraft will be the fastest and longest-range business jet in the world, capable of travelling an astonishing 8,000 nautical miles. In fact, it will also be the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde!
Today, our team is making outstanding progress on the industry-leading Global 8000 as we work towards entry into service in 2025. As we prepare to launch this record-breaking business jet, Bombardier’s aftermarket services team is crafting a comprehensive support program to ensure owners and operators of this magnificent aircraft will enjoy premium service. We never forget that customers like you have made us an established market leader, and we are grateful to have loyal customers on every continent.
In terms of defense, Bombardier named Wichita the site of its U.S. Headquarters in April 2022. There, our team is focused on developing missionized versions of our business jets for key defense customers, including the U.S. Air Force. These programs continue to spur innovations that benefit our entire family of business jets.
Finally, we have the services element – the reason my team exists! The nearly 3,000 members of Bombardier’s aftermarket services group are laser-focused on continuous improvement. We are tasked with ensuring that more than 5,000 Bombardier jets fly on time, receive parts quickly, and are maintained to the highest standards.
We are also dedicated to bringing your jet home for OEM service and support – and to that end, we added nearly one million square feet of new service capacity to our worldwide network in 2022. This included new service centres in Melbourne, Australia, and Miami, Florida, as well as expanded facilities in Singapore, London Biggin Hill, and our Paris Line Maintenance Station. Last year, we welcomed 8,000 unique visitors to our worldwide service network and our market share is growing.
We are well on our way to delivering the best service experience in business aviation. If you have not yet “brought your jet home,” I invite you to contact our 24/7 Customer Response Centre today to find the service facility nearest you.
We can’t wait to see you.
Sincerely,
Paul Sislian
