Making magic at our worldwide service facilities
There’s a special day in late May that I hold extremely close to heart.
National Aviation Maintenance Technician Day, held annually on May 24 in the United States, pays homage to the men and women throughout our industry who turn a wrench for a living and keep our world-class aircraft in the air.
These talented specialists are the backbone of our industry: skilled professionals who, through their dedication, creativity and steadfast commitment to detail, keep our customers’ business jets at the ready and ensure their aircraft meet or exceed the highest safety standards.
National Aviation Maintenance Technician Day has a rich history. The date coincides with the birthdate of Charles Edward Taylor, an American inventor, machinist and mechanic who built the engine used to power the aircraft synonymous with one of the most significant aviation milestones in U.S. aviation history – the Wright Flyer, designed by the famed Wright brothers.
At Bombardier, we are blessed to have some of the finest aviation maintenance technicians in the world servicing your aircraft – and these talented professionals are routinely honoured for their technical excellence. Please read about some of these achievements in this newsletter.
The next time you enjoy the smoothest ride in business aviation, I encourage you to think about some of the talented individuals who help make it happen!
Sincerely,
Jean-Christophe Gallagher
