A new Bombardier service centre for European operators

Early in the New Year, we announced an exciting development in Europe with the acquisition of the Berlin Service Centre. Strategically located at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport, this service facility has been providing exceptional MRO services since 1997. With more than 160,000 sq. ft. (15,000 sq. metres) of service capacity and 240 highly skilled employees on site, the service centre provides you with the exceptional maintenance and support for Bombardier’s growing fleet of Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets based in Europe, Russia, Africa and the Middle East.

Enhanced APU services in Europe

Bombardier further bolstered its maintenance capabilities in Europe with a new agreement with StandardAero. Under the terms of the relationship, Challenger and Learjet aircraft customers have the opportunity to get have enhanced engine and APU repair and overhaul capabilities at the Biggin Hill and Berlin service centres in addition to Bombardier’s line maintenance stations in Europe. StandardAero technicians are also now available on site at these locations to create a one-stop shop for engine, APU and airframe service needs. This new option will reduce downtime and costs, while leveraging Bombardier’s OEM knowledge, bundling engine and APU maintenance with other Bombardier services in-house, including major airframe work. This includes the flexibility to have one single proposal and project management of airframe, engine and APU requirements, as well as all-inclusive pricing options.

Expanding line maintenance capabilities across the pond

In late April, Bombardier enhanced its Line Maintenance Station (LMS) footprint in Europe with the addition a new site in Geneva, Switzerland. This site complements the tip-to-tail maintenance capabilities you have come to expect from Bombardier. Located at the Geneva Airpark, the new line maintenance station provides the expertise of highly-skilled Bombardier technicians who are certified to maintain Challenger 300, Challenger 350, Challenger 604, Challenger 605, Challenger 650, Challenger 850 and all Global series business jets, including the industry flagship Global 7500 aircraft.
