Red Oak team supports Waxahachie Care initiative

The Bombardier team from its Red Oak site chipped in to support the Waxahachie Care initiative.

More than 20 volunteers from Bombardier’s Red Oak, Texas facility joined forces in late November to support the Waxahachie Care initiative, providing families in need with important food items, diapers, toiletries and paper goods. Waxahachie Care is a not-for-profit organization that provides food and assistance to local communities in need.

“I’m really proud of the team who surpassed the target for this great community initiative,” noted Tony Curry, general manager of the Red Oak site. “So, nice to see so many team members come together for a great cause.”

Over a three-week campaign, the 20-strong Bombardier team, along with countless donors, collected roughly 1,300 household items weighing more than 1,400 pounds. These critical items provided critical support for 25 families for at least one week or 460 people for a day – giving 115 to 150 families household staples during the Thanksgiving holiday.
