Singapore Service Centre marks 10th anniversary with record achievements
Fresh off of its win as Aviation Week’s “Asia MRO of the Year – Airframe” and “OEM Service Provider of the Year” the Singapore Service Centre is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2024.
The facility has flourished over the last decade, undergoing a significant expansion in 2022 that more than quadrupled its footprint. Today, the 290,000-square-foot Bombardier Singapore Service Centre is the largest OEM business aviation service facility in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). Its growth has enabled an expanded suite of services, including complete maintenance and modification capabilities for Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft, world class interior recompletions and paint in the only environmentally controlled paint facility in APAC. The centre employs more than 300 people, including over 200 licensed engineers and technicians.
“The largest single project we have completed to date was the flawless delivery of a 240M major maintenance check whilst integrating a new Venue Cabin Management System, interior refurbishment and full exterior paint,” said Simon Wayne, General Manager of the Singapore Service Centre.
As word continues to spread about Bombardier’s Singapore Service Centre, customer traffic has increased through the facility – in fact, the centre saw a 30 per cent increase in customer visits in 2023. While onsite, visitors enjoy exceptional customer office and lounge facilities, as well as professional ground handling services.
In 2023, Bombardier’s Singapore Service Centre was also recognized by industry association AsBAA with its “Best Manufacturer” Award for Asia, Pacific and China. The award-winning centre is LEED Silver-certified, incorporating an environmentally respectful design that includes solar panels, electric vehicle charging, and a supply of sustainable aviation fuel.
