Cabin environment tools you can depend on

Ensuring we prioritize our customers' wellness and peace of mind is an important part of everything we do at Bombardier. It's a commitment that is evident in every aspect of the company’s outstanding customer support.

We also recognize that the pandemic has presented industry-wide challenges that will no doubt change the way people travel. We are proud to offer products that help our customers take to the skies with confidence. Thanks to our long-standing commitment to passenger wellness and our focus on the cabin experience, we are pleased to continue delivering first-rate air quality across our business jet portfolio – technology that was in place long before the pandemic.

Our Challenger family of aircraft, for example, are equipped with fresh air systems that deliver 100% outside air with leading cabin air replacement rates. Our long-range, large-cabin Global aircraft feature Bombardier Pũr Air, a highly sophisticated air purification and circulation systemfeaturing an advanced and scientifically proven HEPA filter, and which is a baseline feature aboard these industry-leading business jets.

HEPA filters are the go-to systems in critical care settings such as hospitals and on board Bombardier Global aircraft, they capture up to 99.99% of allergens, bacteria and viruses.

The Bombardier Pũr Air system also allows passengers to easily switch to 100% outside air whenever they prefer. The Pũr Air system, In addition to eliminating allergens, bacteria and viruses, delivers better humidity and faster heating and cooling than less sophisticated “outside air only” systems.

For customers seeking a safe cabin environment, Bombardier also offers additional products for installation at its service centres, including the Aviation Clean Air (ACA) installation packages developed by Duncan Aviation. The ACA package consists of an ionizer system that emits ions in the air and on surfaces for an extra layer of protection against pathogens. The ACA upgrade is currently available for select Global models and Challenger 300 and Challenger 350 aircraft, and is on track to be available for Challenger 600-series aircraft at the end of July 2021.

Aircraft engineering and certification firm Peregrine Avionics has been selected to provide customers with Aviation Clean Air (ACA) installation packages on Challenger 600-series aircraft. In addition to ionizer kits, Bombardier also offers customers Microshield 360 – a durable, invisible, anti-microbial nano-technology coating that neutralizes surface borne pathogens for up to one (1) year. This product is also available to be applied inside all Bombardier aircraft models at its service centres.

The pandemic has presented industry-wide challenges that will no doubt change the way people travel. At Bombardier, we are proud to be able to offer products that help people take to the skies with confidence. It’s our ongoing commitment to you now and in the future.
