The Gogo ATG 5000 system optionally installed in Learjet 70/75 aircraft and installed in Learjet 40/45 aircraft post-production will soon be rendered obsolete.
The ground stations that support the airborne Gogo Air to Ground (ATG) 5000 are being upgraded to Long Term Evolution (LTE) protocol and eliminating 3G connectivity, rendering the ATG 5000 obsolete. The switch to LTE is currently scheduled for Q1 2026. Operators using the ATG 5000 for Gogo connectivity will no longer be able to use the system without upgrading the equipment on the aircraft.
Fortunately, Learjet does have solutions for Learjet 70/75 and Learjet 40/45 operators using Gogo connectivity. Installation of the Gogo AVANCE L5 system is certified and available per service bulletins 70-23-08, 75-23-13, 40-23-10 and 45-23-20. These service bulletins have various options for installation of the AVANCE L5 system, covering aircraft currently with Gogo connectivity to full installations.
Please contact your BAS regional manager for more information or to schedule your aircraft for installation of the Gogo AVANCE L5 system.
