Effectivity: Global 7500 aircraft

ATA: 33

By: David A Gosselin – Technical Services

Bombardier has been notified about water being trapped inside the Global 7500 aircraft nose landing gear (NLG) taxi light assembly.

Bombardier and the supplier have launched an investigation into this issue. To facilitate the investigation, we kindly ask our customers to return to Bombardier any assembly showing signs of water ingress. Please take care to ensure that it remains unopened (avoid separating the lens from the light base) so that a thorough root cause analysis can be conducted.

Bombardier recommends that operators closely monitor both NLG taxi lights and contact us (via SRPSA) if any water is observed inside the assembly.

If this situation is encountered, the entire NLG taxi lights assembly must be replaced. (Please refer to AMP nose gear landing lights – Remove and install procedure: BD700-A-J33-41-07-00AAA-520A-A / 720A-A. It cannot be repaired while on the wing.)
