Bombardier would like to inform Challenger 350  aircraft operators about the availability of Bombardier service bulletin (SB) 350-44-004 for a template software update on the Lufthansa Technik (LHT) cabin management system (CMS). This SB updates the configuration server database (CSDB) of the CMS to the latest free software build on Template 9. This new SB is applicable to Challenger 350 aircraft, serial numbers 20501 to 20862.

LHT has advised Bombardier that there have been maintenance fixes introduced on the CSDB Template 9 which are applicable to the Blue-Ray Disc Player (BDP3009-X01-001) software, improving its reliability and stability.

Bombardier is aware that many aircraft CMSs have been updated to a later Template following a CMS/NICEVIEW modification request. For those aircraft with a CMS already at Template -09A or greater (-10X, -11X), no action is required on the aircraft. Operators will only need to sign the SB in the logbook as being complied with and send the incorporation sheet to Bombardier for tracking purposes.

For aircraft with a CMS at Template 8 or lower, operators will need to order the software -09A and update the CMS in accordance with the instructions provided in the SB. The Service Request for Product Support Action (SRPSA) required to order the software is free of charge for 24 months from the release date of the SB.

For Challenger 650 aircraft, the equivalent SB 650-44-004 is applicable to serial numbers 6050 to 6146.

Please contact your Bombardier field service representative (FSR) or the Customer Response Centre (CRC) team 24/7 if you require more information on the LHT NiceHD CMS.
