Universal UNS-1Ew SCN 1002.3 software upgrade

This is a reminder for Learjet 40/45 aircraft owners and operators that service bulletins exist to address the issue of excessive vertical deviation on Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) approaches. 
 
Service bulletins 40-34-27 and 45-34-40 install UNS-1Ew FMS software level SCN 1002.3. This software was specifically designed to reduce the possibility of undesirable vertical deviations during SBAS approaches, such as localizer performance with vertical guidance (LPV).  

In addition to the SBAS approach performance, there is a multitude of software upgrades that have been incorporated in SCN 1002.3 from the previously approved SCN 1000.5 software. Software SCN 1002.3 is part of the current production software for the Universal UNS-1Ew.
