Wing tank fuel access corrosion prevention

Bombardier would like to remind the operators about the benefits of incorporating the OPTIONAL Service Bulletin SB700-57-052 (or equivalent), WING-TANK ACCESS PANEL AND WING-PLANK FRETTING CORROSION PREVENTION.

For the Global 5000 BD-700-1A11 aircraft, use SB 700-1A11-57-018,

For the Global 5000 BD-700-1A11 Featuring Global Vision Flight Deck aircraft, use SB 700-57-5007,

For the Global 5500 BD-700-1A10 aircraft, use SB 700-57-5501,

For the Global 5000 BD-700-1A10 aircraft, use SB 700-57-6007, and

For the Global 5000 BD-700-1A10 aircraft, use SB 700-57-6501.

These optional Service Bulletins improve the installation of the wing-tank fuel access panels with the application of anti-fretting material on the lower wing plank. This will reduce the fretting and ultimately prevent corrosion.

Bombardier would also like to inform operators, that the WING-TANK ACCESS PANELS – INSTALLATION task, AMM28-11-01-400-801, has been revised to add supplemental instructions to maintain and/or restore (if required) of the anti-fretting material on the wing plank access holes, and grease application on the wing tank access panels for A/C Post SB700-57-052 or equivalent.
