Bombardier secures new batch of Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Montreal
Bombardier received a new batch of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in late December 2021, the culmination of the hard work of its Montreal-based SAF Plant 3 Tiger Team. The 7,500 US gallons (approx. 50,000 lbs.) of 70-30 blend (70% fossil fuel, 30% alternative fuel) will be used for customer aircraft for their final deliveries.
Bombardier plays a critical leadership role in leading industry engagement in the development, commercialization and adoption of SAF. As a key member of the Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF Coalition), Bombardier is working with our industry partners to bring the whole business aviation supply chain together to tackle the challenge of sourcing, delivering and encouraging the uptake of SAF.
