Starlink connectivity kit now available for select in-service Bombardier aircraft

Nextant Aerospace, the engineering arm of Flexjet, has introduced Starlink Inflight Connectivity STC Installation Kits for select in-service Bombardier aircraft – including Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 6000, Global 6500 and Global 7500

Installed at Bombardier Service Centres worldwide, Nextant will support the connectivity kits 24/7 to ensure customers enjoy high-speed internet service that rivals land-based options. Gone are the days of waiting to connect until the aircraft reaches a certain altitude, or losing access as the plane descends.

The Starlink Inflight Connectivity STC Installation Kits – developed jointly by Nextant Aerospace, Bombardier and SpaceX – are installed via FAA-approved supplemental type certificate (STC) packages.

Conceptualized by SpaceX, Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency internet worldwide, utilizing an advanced constellation of more than 5,000 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. With reliable connectivity over land, water and remote areas, the system uses a phased-array antenna that has no moving parts and eliminates environmental variances that can impair performance.
