On the move with Bombardier’s Mobile Response Team

*This is part of a series of articles highlighting how Bombardier is raising its customer service game

Bombardier’s expanded Mobile Response Team (MRT) is revved up and ready to go – and we’re certainly upping our game to ensure we provide essential, rapid aircraft on ground (AOG) and unscheduled maintenance services for our customers.

Just how busy have we been? In 2022, for example, Bombardier’s expanded MRT supported 2,738 aircraft service events, helping business jet customers in the U.S. and Europe get back in the air and on their way.

At the heart of the MRT is a fleet of 34 trucks and vans, each equipped to support Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft. Vehicles carry ground support equipment and consumables to perform AOG and scheduled maintenance at an operator’s location or remote base. Each truck is staffed by one or two MRT technicians, typically consisting of one avionics technician and one A&P mechanic. Mobile crews are supported 24/7 by Bombardier’s Customer Response Centre (CRC) and Customer Support Team, to facilitate timely resolution of our customers’ maintenance needs.

The MRT network was enhanced in 2022 as more customers requested mobile aircraft maintenance services. In the U.S., Bombardier added new teams in Charlotte, Chattanooga, Tulsa and Hammond, growing by 11 new technicians in total. In Europe, Bombardier MRT crews in Geneva and Paris have expanded to include additional vehicles and 14 new staff, including specialized maintenance personnel at the Paris location. In total, Bombardier’s MRT now operates 21 trucks in the U.S., 11 in Europe and 2 in Dubai. More technicians and more trucks mean enhanced customer service capability across our entire network!

Our Paris line station was recently expanded to include a hangar facility. Even in the face of challenging weather conditions, our response to our customers has been extremely efficient. We’re still working hard to improve at all levels – and no matter what the challenge in front of us, our MRT crews will resolve issues promptly and efficiently to get customer’s aircraft back in the air. ll in a day’s work for this talented, efficient team.
