Bombardier’s Wichita Service Centre has announced repair service capability for Honeywell Air Cycle Machine (ACM) water separator assemblies.

The PN 2341168-1 water separator assembly is utilized in the environmental control system to dry the conditioned air that is supplied to the cabin for pressurization and temperature control. The internal areas of the water separator are coated with an epoxy barrier, which can erode and expose the base metal. During routine maintenance, corrosion has been discovered on the internal housing surfaces and other interior components. This corrosion can render the specific parts unserviceable if the extent of the corrosion exceeds the maximum criteria.

Honeywell issued a Service Information Letter (SIL D201309000014) which provides instructions for cleaning, corrosion removal and reapplication of the epoxy coating to the interior surfaces of the water separator.

BAS Wichita has now acquired the necessary equipment and materials to perform the SIL and return the water separator to a serviceable condition. To schedule this service, please contact Bombardier Learjet Component Repair and Overhaul (CR&O)
