 Collins Aerospace has recently released an optional Service Bulletin (SB) VENUE-44-22 CABIN SYSTEMS - VENUE™ SYSTEM - BOMBARDIER GLOBAL VENUE CABIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (VCMS) 10.6.

This new VENUE Loadable Software Package (LSP) version 10.6 offers several fixes and improvements:

  • Airshow Version 5 (ASXI5) replacing the Airshow Version 4 (ASXI4) on DEUs.

  • Aircraft with surround sound option will have clear sound from 4k HDMI inputs.

  • Frequency of occurrence of blank screens on cabin monitor is significantly reduced.

  • Airshow default clock format will always match the software configuration.

  • Airshow 3D presentation will not jitter when cycle units/clock is enabled.

  • HDAV – Yellow status light will turn off when the HDAV Built-In Test (BIT) status is good.

As instructed in the SB, operator shall contact Collins Aerospace to obtain a free-of-charge USB flash drive with the Venue 10.6 system software. Bombardier would like to remind operators that our Service Engineering team created a self-contained free package that provides all necessary instructions to perform the modification for the CMS. The engineering documentation package “Cabin Management System - Software Update (CES & Venue)” 700-44-RAZ049 is available on the Bombardier Customer Portal (Figure 1). The documents included in that package can be used to provide a quick and cost-effective means of expediting improvements/modifications for aircraft in service.
