Cabin overlay damage

Effectivity: All Learjet, Challenger, and Global aircraft platforms

ATA: 25

By: Michael Zerczy – Technical Services

Bombardier would like pilots, maintenance crew, flight attendants and service centres to be informed that damage to the cabin overlay (Fig.1) was reported due to a plastic bottle of water being left in the side ledge cup holder while the aircraft was parked outside.

The operator reported that sunlight was magnified through a plastic water bottle sitting in a cupholder and burned the leather overlay.

Bombardier recommends that window shades be closed, and items removed from the side ledge when the aircraft is stored outside.
