The Garmin G700TXi flight instrument installation (retrofit to glass panels) enhances situational awareness and the pilot-aircraft interface. The modification is particularly beneficial to operators of legacy Learjet models, particularly the Learjet 35, 35A, C-21A, 36 and 36A. The Garmin G700TXi flight display system replaces the traditional “steam gauge” primary flight instruments and related sensors or gyros providing information to the instruments.
Butler National Corporation has a solution to replace the traditional “six pack” of flight instruments (airspeed indicator, altimeter, ADI (including VG), HSI (including DG), vertical speed indicator/RA and RMI) with two Garmin GDU 1060 MFD/PFD displays and associated attitude, heading and air data sensors approved by STC ST02036WI. The G700TXi modification requires prior or contemporaneous installation of the Garmin GTN 750/750Xi navigators (STC No. ST01926WI).
The G700TXi modification is approved in Learjet model 35/35A(C-21A)/36/36A airplanes with the FC-530 or FC-535 autopilots. Plans are being made to amend the STC to include airplanes equipped with the FC-200 autopilot.
The Garmin G700TXi system retrofit is available from Butler Avionics, Inc. of New Century, Kansas, a Garmin authorized installation/repair facility.
Butler National Corporation received Federal Aviation Administration Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval for the installation of the Garmin G700TXi System into the Learjet model 35/36 series aircraft equipped with FC-530 or FC-535 autopilots. Butler National, through its subsidiary Butler Avionics, Inc., plans to make the STC package available to Garmin dealers worldwide for field installations.
