Honeywell cabin phone latest available upgrades

Effectivity: Gloabal and Challenger aircraft

ATA 23

Bombardier would like to inform pilots and maintenance crews of Challenger 350, Challenger 650 and Global aircraft equipped with the Honeywell/EMS Technologies cabin phone system of the latest technical improvements available.

Honeywell has released two new Vendor Service Bulletins (VSB), 1492-A-3200-23-002 & 1492-F-0202/0203/0204-23-001, respectively, applicable to the Cabin Service Unit (CSU) and cabin handsets.

The new software brings some new minor improvements and fixes:

  • Meeting EASA requirement required for Global 7500, no impact on previous platforms

  • Resolves files getting deleted following a Satellite Communication Configuration Module (SCM) restore

  • Resolves Host names, like ems.home, IP addresses not restoring from backup.

  • Wireless handsets will now shut down after aircraft power-off.

To get the full benefits of the CSU software upgrade, all handsets must also be upgraded to the latest software release.

The vendor service bulletins (VSB) are available on the Bombardier Customer Portal. https://my.businessaircraft.bombardier.com
