Keep the current Lufthansa Technik Configuration Server Database on board Challenger and Global aircraft

Effectivity: Challenger 300, 350, 3500, 650 and Global 7500 aircraft

Bombardier would like to remind Challenger and Global aircraft operators about the importance of keeping the latest version of the Lufthansa Technik Configuration Server Database (CSDB) on board the aircraft. CSDB software can either be provided at delivery of the aircraft, or an updated version can be issued in-service following a cabin modification or a cabin software update.

In the event of replacement an LRU (LINE REPLACEABLE UNIT) listed in Table 1, the cabin software must be reloaded.

If a copy of the latest CSDB or Aircraft Personality Package (applicable only to Challenger 3500 aircraft) is no longer available, operators can request a copy from Bombardier.

The cabin software configuration is unique to each aircraft. It is important to note that for such requests, a Service Request for Product Support Action (SRPSA) must be submitted. The SRPSA should contain the aircraft serial number for which the CSDB is being requested and the part number of the current cabin management system (CMS) software loaded in the aircraft.

In addition to the usual processing billing, extra fees will be applied for the software as per the standard Bombardier policy, thus emphasizing the importance of keeping a copy of the CSDB on board the aircraft.

The software can be stored on a computer or on a USB drive but should always remain with the aircraft for any support and maintenance.
