Searching for SmartFix Plus troubleshooting procedures

Effectivity: Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft

ATA: 34

Sometimes, it may be difficult to locate a troubleshooting procedure since all CAS / fault codes / observed faults do not fit neatly into an ATA that we would look for instinctively. In those situations, the Nivomax SmartPubs Viewer provides a search functionality that can help find troubleshooting procedures in the SmartFix Plus troubleshooting tool.

Included in the Nivomax SmartPubs Viewer there is a Help Guide that includes Section 5, Understanding Search Functionality. You can access the Help Guide by clicking on the Mach symbol (top right corner of the browser window) and selecting Help. The Help Guide will open in a new window and includes a table of contents on the left side of the page. There are several key features to assist search functionality. There is a simple search, advanced search, displaying search results and search history. As with any search, the more precise the search term is, the more precise the search results will be. The search result titles that begin with ATA are typically associated with the system description.

The search function begins by clicking on the magnifier located in the top menu, right of centre. The viewer will display the feature panel on the right side of the browser window.  Enter a search term and select the search bar or hit enter on the keyboard. Once results are displayed, click on a result and the viewer will open and display the troubleshooting procedure selected. You can then close the search slider feature panel by clicking on the close feature panel symbol, located to the right of the refresh button.
