By: Geneviève A. Roy - Technical Services
This article is to inform the operators of aircraft SN 70050, 70090-70096 and 70099-70115 about the release of Service Bulletin 700-57-7517 Modification - General - Replacement of the Dog Bone Seals Revision 01 on the Customer Portal.
This Service Bulletin was released internally for Completion Centre aircraft only. Some of the aircraft equipped with the new design during completion have noted deformation of the seal between slats No. 1 and No. 2. Based on these results, the design is being revised to include additional modifications between slats No. 1 and No. 2 to resolve the seal movement constraint causing the deformation.
Bombardier published the SB 700-57-7517 Revision 01 on the Customer Portal as a reference only. All aircraft listed in the effectivity have already complied with the Service Bulletin or the intent of the Service Bulletin.
The final modification will be provided in a new Service Bulletin. Bombardier will communicate to operators as soon as the final SB is available for all in-service aircraft.
This is also a reminder that operators can refer to the AFM 08-10-57 - Configuration Deviation List for dispatch relief with missing Interslat seals.
Please find below supporting information on the dog bone seal configuration for each aircraft serial number.
